Senior Chief Wagner is the 23rd Company Senior Enlisted Leader.
Senior Chief Wagner is a native of IL and reported for active duty to Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois August 2002. After completion of Basic Training, he attended Gunner’s Mate (GM) “A” school at Naval Training Command Great Lakes.
In 2003 he reported to USS The Sullivans (DDG 68) in Mayport, Fl, and remained onboard until 2007. While there he served as the ships armorer and deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). He also earned his Enlisted Surface Qualification and advanced to the rank of Petty Officer Second Class.
In December 2007 he reported to Coastal Riverine Squadron 10 in Jacksonville, FL. Serving as the Leading Petty Officer and Primary Range Safety Officer he qualified as a Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor and Crew Served Weapons Instructor. While onboard he earned Expeditionary Warfare Specialist qualification. He was also awarded Sailor of the Year (SOY) and later advanced to the rank of Chief Petty Officer in 2011.
In 2011, he successfully screened for a special programs billet at Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG). From 2011-2018 he served as the Leading Chief Petty Officer for the range and weapons division and led research, development, testing and evaluations on various equipment and material. He volunteered for two deployments in support of Special Operation Joint Task Forces. In 2017 he was advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer.
Senior Chief Wagner’s personal awards include: Joint Service Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (1), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6) and various unit and campaign awards. He also holds an Associates of Arts Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science.
