The following table lists a few values from the Windows Registry that may be interesting to you.

To launch RegEdit, the students need to press the Windows start orb, and at the search/command entry type regedit and press enter. Firstly, we can discover the name of our computer by following the following expansion tree:

  1. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  2. Expand SYSTEM
  3. Expand CurrentControlSet
  4. Expand Control
  5. Expand ComputerName
  6. Click on ComputerName. On the right, you should see a key called ComputerName and a value that reflects your computer's name.
