Signal Processing and Data Science Group
Faculty in the Signal Processing and Data Science Group work on problems related to extracting or embedding information in data. This includes digital and analog techniques as well as hardware for the filtering, spectrum shaping, or other conditioning of signals. It also includes methods for signal detection and de-noising; pattern recognition, classification, and regression; control; transmission; encryption and obfuscation; encoding; and compression. Specific application areas include biomedicine and biometrics, image processing, communications, natural language processing, and radar and sonar processing.
