What is Radio Stockdale?
. . . is a programming distribution network operated for the purpose of training midshipmen in the core principles of Leadership – Ethics, Character and Honor. It is produced by the Boeing Leadership Innovation Laboratory, part of the Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership.
Do I have to keep my phone on the target?
Yes, during the playing of the augmentation, you must keep centered on the target. During the exercise, you may move around.
How can I login as a Midshipman?
If you are a Midshipman, or a former Midshipman and remember your alpha code, you may input it following the augmentation presentation and before you enter the exercises or the character video.
How can I login as a professor or staff?
If you are faculty or staff, click the button following the augmentation presentation, and you will be assigned the user number.
How can I login as a guest?
If you are a guest, click the button following the augmentation presentation, and you will be assigned the user number.
How do the ethical dilemmas work?
These graphic novels enable the viewer to make choices in tough situations. As new situations develop, the viewer continues to refine the decisions made. At the end of each exercise, the viewer will get feedback on the decisions made.
How do the character vignettes work?
These are videos that represent officer's comments on character keywords. Since joining the fleet, these officers have refined their ideas of these character words, since they were Midshipmen.
How do I use the QR reader?
Touch the QRC symbol on the home scanner screen, and the Radio Stockdale scanner turns into a regular QR code reader.
Where are the targets located?
Targets will be located in Bancroft Hall, Luce Hall, and Dahlgren Hall. There are three types of targets. Ethical dilemma targets have nautical flags on them. Video targets have character "words" on them. And Augmentation targets have warfare specialty pins on them. Good hunting.
