Executive Leadership Courses are a unique opportunity for a leader to focus on a specific skill set for several days, training at one the top leadership and business institutions our nation has to offer.
"I am very grateful for the support of the Stockdale Center’s Influence-the-Influencer initiative. The funding enabled me to spend a week focused on my leadership competencies and development. I was able to step away from the rapid drum beat of my position and immerse myself in reflective consideration about how I can improve as a leader. I have definitely grown through thoughtful reflection as a leader as a consequence of participation in this program. I am certain, I will be more effective in my roles leading faculty and mentoring midshipmen as a result of this opportunity."
--- Dean Daniel O'Sullivan
Just a few of the schools our Key Influencers have attended:

"Serving in the position of Deputy Commandant of Midshipmen allows me to interact directly with key leadership and influencers on a daily basis. The complexity of our billets demand an intentional study of leadership from multiple angles in order to ensure the development of those we have the privilege to lead. My attendance at Northwestern/Kellogg School allowed me to “sharpen my saw” of leadership by interacting with a diverse set of leaders from various sectors of business and government service. Listening and gaining a better understanding of the challenges other leaders face allowed me to further refine who I am as a leader, taking a hard look at the core values that drive my decision making in an oftentimes ethically challenged environment."
-- Captain Thomas J. Grady
"I would definitely recommend this experience to others and am appreciative to the Stockdale Center for sending me to CCL. CCL was an intensive check-in of my leadership capabilities, as well as an interesting assessment of my management style. It allowed me a safe and friendly environment to evaluate my leadership skills and where I could improve. This program was very valuable so that I can be a good role model for my student-athletes, as well as an effective advisor and administrator for our coaching staff."
--- Loretta Lamar, Senior Associate Athletic Director

"The HERS institute offers a challenging two weeks of rich curriculum and brings together faculty, administrators and staff from all around the U.S. The Institute recreates the campus experience through its topics and diverse faculty and staff. Participants can discuss, brainstorm, evaluate and design creative solutions for persistent problems in higher education. This is a unique and valuable experience for any faculty member at USNA."
--- Professor Sylvia Peart
