Mr. Glenn Carle
Mr. Carle spent 23 years in the Clandestine Service of the Central Intelligence Agency, where he worked in a number of overseas posts on four continents. Mr. Carle has worked on terrorism at various times since the mid-1980s. He also worked extensively on Balkan, Afghan, Central American, and European political, security, and economic issues. Mr. Carle’s last position was as Deputy National Intelligence Officer for Transnational Threats, on the National Intelligence Council. Mr. Carle also served as a Trade Negotiator in the Executive Office of the President, conducting bilateral and multilateral trade negotiations and agreements. Mr. Carle is the author of The Interrogator, a portrayal of the US counterterrorism efforts and interrogation that has been called the greatest non-fiction book about the CIA ever written.
