Meet the Current Members of the Team!

Tristan Anderson

About Me:

I am from Ventura, California Where everyday is sunny and 75! Some of my hobbies other than running include playing the oboe, trying new food with friends, visiting National Parks (16), and visiting every state (31/50)!

Class Year: 2021

Why did you join marathon team?

I joined the team because I wanted to try a new type of running coming from racing 5ks and track races in high school. The idea of running a marathon was a huge mental challenge for me and I wanted to see what I could accomplish with solid training and mental toughness. I also really liked the people on the team when I first came out to practice plebe year and that is one of the main reasons I have stayed for the past 3 year years!

What is your most remarkable running achievement?

Running 2:52 and qualifying for the Boston Marathon at the 2019 Chicago Marathon was a surreal experience for me.

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor?

Double Peanut Butter Chip from McConnell's Fine Ice Cream in Ventura

If I could go back in time, I would...

I would never have bought an iPhone. They take up too much of my time with my family and friends!

About Me:

Hey, my name is Tim Maciejewski! I'm from Buffalo, New York. I am a huge Buffalo Bills fan, and I am proud of it. We're known for our tailgating and beloved fan base. From the slamming of tables, to the jumping off of RVs, to the out-of-tune singing, I love every part of a Bills tailgate. I have two sisters, Ashleigh and Caden, both are intelligent, confident, beautiful, and have taught me a lot. My parents are the glue that holds us all together, and I couldn't be luckier to have them in my corner.

Class Year: 2023

Why did you join marathon team?

You can eat anything you want once you finish a marathon.

What is your most remarkable running achievement?

During the 2019 Marine Corps Marathon, my friend Joey Ozgar and I finished the race at the same time! (Well, he did beat me by one second but it makes me feel better to say we finished together) The craziest part was, we didn't run together during the race, we found each other by chance with less than a half mile left. It also just so happened that we finished third and fourth overall in our age group, pretty "remarkable" if you ask me.

About Me:

I am from Reno, Nevada. Skiing, horseback riding, and golfing are my go to outdoor activities. I also like to read and make any type of baked goods with my friends.

Class Year: 2021

Why did you join marathon team?

I joined the marathon team to get more involved with running. I ran cross country in high school, but I had always wanted to run and train for longer distances.

What is your most remarkable running achievement?

I am new to this, so I guess every race is a PR and my greatest running achievement!

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor?

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

If I could go back in time, I would...

I would not major in cyber operations...biggest mistake of my life!

About Me:

I'm from Orlando, FL and enjoy flying, the outdoors, and playing guitar.

Class Year: 2022

I love running and all the places it takes me. Marathon Team gives me a chance to go off the Yard with great people and push ourselves to be better.

I wanted to run marathons.

What is your most remarkable running achievement?

Inventing my own marathon when Rock n' Roll 2020 got cancelled. I ran with 2 friends, each ran a half with me and switched off. It wasn't my PR, but I made it happen; that's why I'm proud of it.

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor?

Mint Chocolate Chip

If I could go back in time, I would...

Go to the 1940s and be a fighter pilot in WWII.

Wells Johnstone

About Me:

I’m from Jackson, TN! When I’m not running I like to swim, read, pretend I’m outdoorsy, and drink obscene amounts of coffee. I can tell more than you would ever possibly want to know about Harry Styles, Kardashian family, or what happened on The Bachelor. Fun fact: I share a birthday with Mason Ramsey (aka Walmart yodel boy)

Class Year: 2022

I wanted to try something new and Grace Werren encouraged me to come to practice. I had a ton of fun and loved the girls on the team. Plus running allows me to eat peanut butter straight out of the jar without feeling bad about it

What is your most remarkable running achievement?

The proudest I’ve been of myself is when I finished my first marathon.
