Naval Academy Sailing Association

The Offshore Sailing Training Squadron is a fun and educational experience for new and seasoned sailors alike.  OSTS provides an opportunity to sail during the week at the Naval Academy to gain experience on both the N26 and Navy 44 offshore training crafts.  These afternoon sails are meant to give experience to those who have not sailed in the past.  Additionally they provide the opportunity for those who are already experienced to instruct others and improve upon their own knowledge.   While these sails are educationally based, the leadership skills that are developed while onboard are useful far beyond the Chesapeake Bay. The goal of the team is to have each member work toward a D-Qualification thus allowing them to become an instructor on the team and continue to further their leadership experience.
