USNA on a foggy day photo

Packing Agenda

Annapolis weather in the spring is cool and rainy. You will mostly be inside for the conference, but we will have an afternoon of activities around campus and transit to and from venues.

Keep in mind that you will need to make preparations for five days (arrive on Monday evening, leave Friday morning).

The attire for the three days of round table sessions and speakers will be business casual. For example, men could wear slacks, a button-down shirt and an optional tie. Women could wear slacks, a skirt, a blouse, a sweater or a blazer. We encourage you to wear walking-appropriate shoes. For our military attendees, the uniform is your equivalent of Service Dress Blues (dress uniform).

The evening Forrestal Lecture will be in business attire. For men, this is a suit. For women, the equivalent business wear. For our military attendees, the uniform is the equivalent of Service Dress Blues (dress uniform).

The final banquet will be in informal attire. For men, this is a suit. For women, this could range from a pant suit to a cocktail dress. For our military attendees, the uniform is the equivalent of Mess Dress (dinner dress uniform).

We encourage you to bring casual clothing for after-hours social gatherings, travel and exploring Annapolis.
