Blogs allow instructors and students to display their knowledge and opinions to each other. Blogs display critical thinking and knowledge construction, and support the development of communication skills in your course.
Journals are a self-reflective tool where students post thoughts on experiences or course topics. Journal assignments can help students create meaning and internalize learning as they engage in personalized one-on-one conversations with you. The nature of journals offers students a safe environment to express themselves and receive individualized feedback.
Wikis enable active collaboration around course content and group projects. Students can collaborate on a document using only a web browser. Instructors can see the process and evolution of the work and participate. Instructors can see each participant’s contributions and grade accordingly.
