MIDN 1/C Cartwright named a Student Award Winner at the 100th Annual AMS Meeting

MIDN 1/C Nina Cartwright was named a Student Award Winner at the 100th Annual Meeting of the American Meteorological Society in Boston, MA in January 2020 for her presentation titled “Extreme blocking in the North Atlantic Arctic in Future Climates”. The Student Award recognizes the top student presenting authors at the conference and is based on organization, content, and presentation. MIDN Cartwright, and oceanography major pictured alongside her research poster above, worked on her project throughout the fall semester with her advisers, Associate Professor Gina R. Henderson and Associate Professor Bradford S. Barrett. The broader project was funded by the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP), award RC18-1658.
