Thirty-eight high school students, from four schools in Baltimore City, visited the U.S. Naval Academy to participate in a mini-STEM event presented by the USNA STEM Center on Thursday, February 1, 2018. The students came from the Building STEPS program, which works with Baltimore City high school students to help them achieve college and career success with a focus on STEM.
The students participated in a variety of interactive, hands-on modules led by USNA STEM faculty and staff, including a session in the planetarium, investigating the color of stars, and exploring principles of flight.
