What is Data Science?

Here are three explanations of "what is data science":

1. A proposed data science pipeline

2. A pipeline for practical data science

3. IBM's data science lifecycle

4. (optional) Oracle's explanation

Fill out this Word Document with the names of the proposed "steps" in the Data Science pipeline, as proposed in each of the 3 articles above. Then create your own pipeline based on your best merging of their ideas. Print and turn in your sheet at the start of our next class.

Setup your Laptop (~20 minutes)

Connect your laptop to the mission network. Plugin with an ethernet cord is highly suggested, not WiFi.

Visit our computer setup instructions and do your best to complete all 5 steps. Don't stress out if something does not install or you get confused along the way. This HW is to try and do your best. You'll benefit in Thursday lab if you get it all done correctly ahead of time! We will have extra help this week during lab to finish installations.
