Abu Ubaydah

Abu Ubaydah 'Amir b. Abdallah b. al-Jarrah (d. 18) was a close Companion of the prophet Muhammad, one of the earliest converts to Islam, and one of the commanders during the conquests before his death in Palestine. He emigrated to Ethiopia before the Hijrah and is said to have been given the title "Amin" or "Trustworthy" by the prophet Muhammad himself.
