Prehistoric Tombs at al-Qusays, UAE

  Reproduction of structures from al-Qusays, thought to be chambered tombs.
Bronze snakes found buried in a large mound, thought to be a burial mound. Because of the find, the mound is now called the "Mountain of Serpents." It dates to the Second Millennium BCE  

The pre-historic site of al-Qusays is thought to represent the largest community in the Gulf from 2000-1000 BCE with habitation continuing into the Hellenistic period.
