Please share a Google Drive folder with me containing:

  • PDF of your final report
  • PDF of your presentation slides
  • All source code files (e.g., Jupyter notebooks) and data files (e.g., Excel workbooks, Google Sheets) you created and used for your project

4/21

Next week, teams will meet with Prof. Uhan one-on-one. Please come ready to discuss:

  • Your latest draft of your capstone report
  • Your presentation — have a draft of your slides prepared
  • Any other questions you might have

4/6

A draft of your entire capstone report — all sections — is due on Tuesday 4/19 at 23:59.

  • One member of each team should email me their draft as a PDF file.
  • Please use the capstone project report template linked below.

4/6

The grading policy for the 12-week marking period has been updated:

  • Standard C8 will not be considered for your 12-week marking period grade.
  • The letter grade conversions have been adjusted.

See the updated document below for details.

3/21

A draft of your introduction, literature review, input data and model description sections is due on Thursday 3/31 at 23:59.

  • One member of each team should email me their draft as a PDF file.
  • Please double-space your document.
  • This draft will serve as the basis of your 12-week marking period grade. See the Grading policy — 12-week marking period document below for details.

A draft of your introduction and literature review sections is due on Thursday 3/3 at 23:59.

  • One member of each team should email me their draft as a PDF file.
  • Please double-space your document.

2/9

The first draft of your project's introduction section is due on Friday 2/18 at 23:59.

  • One member of each team should email me their introduction as a PDF file.
  • Please double-space your document.
  • This draft will serve as the basis of your 6-week marking period grade. See the Grading policy — 6-week marking period document below for details.

2/9

General notes on feedback:

  • If you have questions, ask me!
  • Your scores on the grading rubric are meant to represent the current status of your project.
  • Scores can go up and down, especially for the standards on the written report and presentation.
  • You can edit and resubmit any time. I will try my best to give you feedback within one week.

2/9

I have graded your six-sentence abstracts on standards C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5 to give you a sense of how feedback works.

2/3

The first draft of your project's six-sentence abstract is due at the beginning of class on Tuesday 2/8.

  • One member of each team should email me their abstract as a PDF file.
    • In Google Docs: File → Download → PDF Document (.pdf).
  • At this point in the semester, you will need to make up some details. That's OK for now — consider this a "vision statement" of sorts. Imagine what good results might look like, and make up some plausible numbers and conclusions.
  • I will meet with each team in class next week to discuss your six-sentence abstracts and your projects more generally.
