Key Database Display Options
The bottom of the database table display always shows how many records in the
database meet the current filter criteria, either set with the
Filter option or the Map Query. All options use only these records.
Table of contents can control display of databases on
database display on and off.
- Symbol and color selection.
restrict what is shown in the table and plotted.
This can be done geographically (most easily with a map
query), or by setting limits on one or more of the data
fields. After you filter the database, any Plot and Stats options
will only work on the filtered subset of the data.
- All Recs: after you limit the data with either a
filer or a query, future operations on the data will use
only the selected records unless you revert to all the
records. If this button is disabled, the database is not filtered
and all operations will use the full data set.
- Plot: Display data on the
- Stats: Display data on a graph
or perform other statistical operations.
- Map Query:
geographically restrict data in the
- Report: saves or exports the current
filtered database in several formats.
- ID: click on the map, and identify the record and its attributes. (Also
the button on the
map toolbar does the same thing).
