Tide Predictions

• Create a database with the Harmonic Constituents.  You can get these from NOAA, for example. You should note whether time in in local or UTC/GMT, and if the amplitudes are in feet or meters.
• You must have the fields "AMPLITUDE", "PHASE", and "SPEED".  Others are optional and can have any names.  In the example above, periods of the constituents were computed in Excel.
• You can remove the zero amplitude constituents (note that CONST 8 to 10 are missing above)
• From Stats, Oceanography, Tide prediction
  • Pick length of  prediction in hours
  • Pick time interval in hours
  • Results will be in a CSV file in the same directory as the database
  • Open the CVS file and MICRODEM will convert to a DBF.

Prediction file created.  It has time in Hours, days, and years.  There is currently no relationship to real time.
