Strategies for Point Digitizing

• Create a point shapefile directly.
• Create from a line shapefile, and then add points along the line.  Report, Create points file
  • From the number of points in a field in the database
  • From a distance
• Create an area/polygon shapefile, and then add points within the polygon.  Report, Create points file
  • Place a specified number of points within the polygon.  These will be randomly distributed, and you might have to graphically drag them (Edit, Graphically move points).
