Command Connect--set up TCP

Notes This command is only done by the TCP  control program responding to a command line parameter file.

 

Command Attach--open TCP connection

Command Test TCP response time
Format: TEST-TCP$

  1.  This can be used to test the overhead of a TCP connection.  It does nothing within MICRODEM, but allows you to time how long it takes to perform a set number of TCP interactions.
  2. Tests showed that 1000 commands could be processed in under 3 seconds, including writing the test results to the screen on both ends of the connection.
