Sample: LOAD-DEM|c:\mapdata\dems\ds_30m.dem$
MICRODEM Response: LOAD-DEM|0|OK$
Possible error messages: LOAD-DEM|-2|Cannot find file:<FileName>$
Notes
  1. These commands are identical, with the exception that QLOAD does not open a map on the server.
  2. If you do not need to return a map, use QLOAD--for instance if you will just be making some computations with the DEM.

Command LOAD-DEM-BOX
Format: LOAD-DEM-BOX|Series|Lat_N|Long_W|Lat_S|Long_E$
Sample: LOAD-DEM-BOX|SRTM-3|45|-4|44|-3$
MICRODEM Response: LOAD-DEM|0|OK$
Possible error messages: LOAD-DEM|-2|No DEM available$
Notes
  1. Requires that the data be indexed on the map server.
  2. Series must be a valid subdirectory under "c:\mapdata\index_data\dems\".

Command DEM-BOX-COVERAGE
Format: DEM-BOX-COVERAGE|Series|Lat_N|Long_W|Lat_S|Long_E$
Sample: DEM-BOX-COVERAGE|SRTM-3|45|-4|44|-3$
MICRODEM Response: DEM-BOX-COVERAGE|0|OK$
Possible error messages:
  1. DEM-BOX-COVERAGE|-3|No DEM available$
  2. DEM-BOX-COVERAGE|-1|Partial DEM available$  (not yet implemented, but will be added)
Notes
  1. Requires that the data be indexed on the map server.
  2. Series must be a valid subdirectory under "c:\mapdata\index_data\dems\".

Command SAVE-DEM-GRID
Format: SAVE-DEM-GRID|<FileName>$
Sample: SAVE-DEM-GRID|c:\temp\map.dem$
MICRODEM Response: SAVE-DEM-GRID|0|OK$
Possible error messages:
Notes
  1. Saves the subset of the current DEM that covers the current DEM map, in MICRODEM format

Command Save-DEM-map
Format: Save-DEM-map|<FileName>$
Sample: Save-DEM-map|c:\temp\map.png$
MICRODEM Response: Save-DEM-map|0|OK$
Possible error messages:
Notes
  1. Saves the current DEM, with full coverage and the default map size
  2. Can be PNG or JPG format
  3. Will save as a Geotiff if FileName has a ".TIF" extension.

Command UNLOAD-DEM
Format: UNLOAD-DEM$
Sample:
MICRODEM Response:  UNLOAD-DEM|0|OK$;
Possible error messages: UNLOAD-DEM|-1|No DEM loaded$
Notes
  1. A database opened with the DEM will be closed by this command.

IMAGERY

Command LOAD-IMAGE
Format: LOAD-IMAGE|<FileName>$
Sample:
MICRODEM Response: LOAD-IMAGE|0|OK$
Possible error messages: LOAD-IMAGE|-2|Cannot find file:<FileName>$
Notes

Command LOAD-IMAGE-BOX
Format: LOAD-IMAGE-BOX|Series|Lat_N|Long_W|Lat_S|Long_E$
Sample: LOAD-IMAGE-BOX|GEOCOVER_2K|45|-4|44|-3$
MICRODEM Response: LOAD-IMAGE|0|OK$
Possible error messages: LOAD-IMAGE|-2|No Image available$
Notes
  1. Loads the entire image covering the box, which may cover a larger area than requested (or might not cover the entire area).

Command LOAD-IMAGE-ZOOM-BOX
Format: LOAD-IMAGE-ZOOM|Series|Lat_N|Long_W|Lat_S|Long_E$
Sample: LOAD-IMAGE-ZOOM|GEOCOVER_2K|45|-4|44|-3$
MICRODEM Response: LOAD-IMAGE|0|OK$
Possible error messages: LOAD-IMAGE|-2|No Image available$
Notes
  1. Loads just the desired area.
  2. Zoom level is the closest in that will keep the image a reasonable size.

Command Save-IMAGE-map
Format: Save-IMAGE-map|<FileName>$
Sample: Save-IMAGE-map|c:\temp\map.png$
MICRODEM Response: Save-IMAGE-map|0|OK$
