Download this Excel spreadsheet, with
data on the growth of a trilobite species from eastern California. We will be
looking at measurements of the cephalon, or "head", with the length and width.
The spreadsheet has measurements for 18 fossils. You should ignore the
single values for 4 other species.

You are to do the following, and turn in a Word file with the requirements
below. Include an Appendix with an m-file that accomplishes as much of the
task as possible. For any actions not done in Matlab, insure that you
include comments in the m-file that would enable someone else to duplicate your
tasks with another data file, potentially much longer.

- Create a figure showing how the cephalon of this trilobite grew (length
versus width). This should look appropriate to be a figure in a
technical publication.
- Create a table with the following information. This should look
appropriate to be a table in a technical publication.
- Compute the slope of the growth line, and the r²
value, for a regression with length as the independent value.
- Compute the slope of the growth line, and the r²
value, for a regression with width as the independent value.

- For extra credit, plot the two versions of
the regression line. This can be a quick and dirty one-time job
