خجل – يخجل to be embarrassed

ريق saliva

سُكرى sweetness

ثغر mouth

خمار alcohol

ساقي the one who serves the drinks

راح wine

استجلى – يستجلي to seek

أقداح  mugs

جريال type of vessel

تجلّى – يتجلّى to appear/become clear

تهيأ – يتهيأ to be ready

المِلاح witticism

 سحّت to stream, run, flow

شحّت to run out

Oh you with the close-knit eyebrows

Oh you with the close-knit eyebrows on the silvery forehead

If you meant to kill me, then you killed me twice

You pass like a jumping deer between the sidewalk and me

And I neither set my trap nor let my eyes (look at you)

You seem as if you don’t see me and (but) my eyes fill your eyes (i.e. we see each other very well)

Your behavior is like mine and woe for two foolish people

My master, you killed me except for the last two sparks of life

I fear the rhymes will damn you everywhere you go
