Yard Patrol Craft Squadron

The Midshipmen-run Yard Patrol Squadron provides its members an opportunity to enhance themselves professionally through experiences in leadership, seamanship, and navigation. It serves for many as their first taste of command and responsibility while still wearing the anchor of a midshipman, as they progress from bridge watchstander to command of their own pennants and beyond.  Midshipmen crews practice onboard Yard Patrol Craft (YP) and execute out-of-area Movement Orders (MO) to eastern seaboard ports.  This extracurricular activity is held during sports period in both the fall and spring semesters and is therefore intramural-exempt.

YPRON has underway training every Tuesday & Thursday from 1545-1730.
