#036 ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Naval Academy is pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of the Navy, in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and its implementing regulations, has prepared and made available to the public the Final Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Center for Cyber Security Studies (CCSS) at the USNA. The Final EA evaluates the potential environmental effects on the human and natural environment of the proposed construction and operation of a 206,000-square foot CCSS academic building and a supporting parking garage at the Naval Academy.
Based upon the EA, the Navy finds that implementing the proposed action will not significantly affect the quality of the human and natural environment; therefore, a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) has been prepared and a determination made that an Environmental Impact Statement is not required.
The Final EA and FONSI are available for review at http://www.usna.edu/PAO/. Printed copies are also available for review at the Annapolis Area Library, 1410 West Street, Annapolis, MD. Questions may be directed to the USNA Public Affairs Office at email@example.com or by phone at (410) 293-1520.
