This week’s Featured Firstie is 1/C Rachel Fairbanks. Rachel Hailes from Jamesville, NY. She is a part of the 6th Company Jackalopes and majors in Oceanography. After graduation, Rachel will be commissioning as an officer in the Marine Corps.

Rachel is a scholar and an athlete, as a midshipman on the Superintendent’s list and a member of the Varsity Women’s Cross Country team. 

When she is home in New York state, Rachel spends a lot of time in the Adirondacks in pursuit of climbing the “46 high peaks,” which are mountains higher than 4000ft.
