  • #1 Megan Leigh Hanson of Woody Creek, Colorado, is a Mathematics with Economics major. She will commission as a Navy ensign.
  • #2 Viktor Paul Turner of Lincoln, Nebraska, is a Physics with Honors major. He will commission as a Navy ensign.
  • #3 Theresa Marie Neubig of Falls Church, Virginia, is an Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering major. She will commission as a Marine Corps second lieutenant.

Graduation Ceremony

This is the 169th traditional graduation ceremony. 

Graduation Speaker

Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick N. Shanahan will deliver the graduation address to the Class of 2019.

Honorary Members of the Class

The Honorary members of the Class of 2019 are:

  • Mrs. Lynda Carter, wife of Vice Admiral Walter E. “Ted” Carter Jr, U.S. Naval Academy Superintendent.
  • Mr. Monte Maxwell, Director of Chapel Music and Chapel Organist.
  • Mr. Marc Seitz, former midshipman with the Class of 2019 (honorary discharge).
  • LT Christine Walker, USN, primary care physician in the Brigade Medical Unit and the assistant coach for Women's Rugby.
  • General James Mattis, USMC, 26th United States Secretary of Defense.
