This week’s Featured Firstie is MIDN LTJG Deon Odom!
Deon hails form Fayetteville, North Carolina and is a proud member of 16th Company. This semester his billet is the 4th Battalion Conduct Officer.
At the Naval Academy Deon studies computer science, and he was able to apply skills from his major during his internship at Livermore National Labs where he wrote code to help analyze nuclear bombs. Deon’s #1 choice for service selection is the newest commissionable community, USMC Cyber.
“I came to USNA to become a great officer like the ones I observed growing up,” said Deon on his decision to become a midshipman.
