TOP GRADUATES

#1 Kaden Charles Dohm of Maple Grove, Minn., is an aerospace engineering major. He will commission as a Navy ensign.

#2 David Wesley Postma of Bellevue, Wash., is a physics major. He will commission as a Navy ensign. 

#3 Clayton Stanley Pelzer of Shorewood, Ill., is a mechanical engineering major. He will commission as a Navy ensign.

ALUMNI

Since 1845, approximately 87,850 midshipmen have graduated from the Naval Academy (including the Class of 2020). 

Since 1980, more than 5,700 women have graduated from the Naval Academy (including the Class of 2020). 

 

GRADUATION SPEAKER

Secretary of Defense Dr. Mark Esper delivered a pre-recorded keynote address to the Naval Academy’s Class of 2020. 

 

HONORARY MEMBERS OF THE CLASS

The selection of honorary members of the graduating class is designed to recognize individuals who have had an impact on the graduating class throughout their four years at the academy. The honorary members of the Class of 2020 are:

Mr. Gary Sinise
American actor, director, musician, producer and philanthropist who founded the Gary Sinise Foundation honoring America's veterans 

Master Chief Jeffrey Kirby
U.S. Naval Academy Command Master Chief

Cmdr. Kelly Laing
U.S. Naval Academy 5th Battalion Officer, Submarine Warfare Accessions Officer
