GEOGRAPHIC REPRESENTATION

Midshipmen were admitted from every state in the Nation, as well as the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

The Class of 2028 has 17 international students from Bangladesh (1), Ecuador (1), Fiji (1), Gambia (1), Indonesia (1), Jordan (1), Kenya (1), Lithuania (1), Mongolia (1), Nigeria (1), Pakistan (1), Philippines (1), Republic of Korea (1), Singapore (1), Thailand (1), Tunisia (1), Vietnam (1). 

ALUMNI SONS & DAUGHTERS:

38 sons and 27 daughters of Naval Academy alumni, and seven members of the entering class have both parents who are alumni of the Naval Academy.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

The Class of 2028 includes students from college and post high school preparatory programs 

  • 209 from Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) in Newport, R.I.; 37 Navy and 9 Marine Corps are prior enlisted
  • 42 from the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation Program/Civilian Prep Program
