The U.S. Naval Academy hosted its annual Leadership Conference, featuring an engaging lineup of events designed to inspire and educate future leaders from military and civilian institutions. The conference opened with a Monday evening Forrestal Lecture and continued with keynote addresses, dynamic panel discussions, and small group breakout sessions held in Mahan Hall throughout the week. Midshipmen-led tours of the Yard provided attendees with a firsthand look at life at the Academy, fostering connections and sharing insights into the Naval Academy’s approach to leadership development.
Since 1984, the Leadership Conference has served as a cornerstone event for midshipmen and cadets from service academies, and in 2002, it expanded to include students from civilian universities. The conference explores leadership topics spanning government, business, academia, and the military, offering a diverse perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing leaders today. Thanks to the generous support of the Class of ’38 and Mitch and Linda Hart, the conference has grown to include over 400 participants from more than 45 institutions. Recent years have emphasized varied presentation formats and interactive discussions, creating an enriching learning experience and fostering collaboration among attendees on critical leadership issues.
