The U.S. Naval Academy hosted its annual Spiritual Readiness Week from January 21 to 24, an initiative designed to strengthen the spiritual foundation of Midshipmen and foster a culture of resiliency, ethical decision-making, and honor.

Spiritual readiness is defined as the strength of spirit that enables warfighters to overcome adversity and execute their mission with honor, particularly in moments of crisis or combat. Recognizing the vital role of spiritual resilience, the Chaplain Center organized a week of voluntary activities aimed at mitigating self-destructive behaviors and cultivating a culture of excellence within the Brigade of Midshipmen.

These events align with the Academy’s mission to develop Midshipmen morally, mentally, and physically while instilling the highest ideals of duty, honor, and loyalty.
