W3ADO Runs Emergency Comms at the B&A Half Marathon

On March 29, 2026, the midshipmen from the USNA Amateur Radio Club (ARC) assisted with emergency communications at the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail Half Marathon, in which the USNA Marathon Team competed.  The B&A Half starts and ends at Severna Park High School and follows the old short-line rail-trail path through Anne Arundel County.  The ARC midshipmen were paired with experienced emergency radio communications volunteers (radio telephone operators and net control) from the local community, and used this event as its first training session for Sea Trials Comms in May 2026.
