POSTED ON: Sunday, April 3, 2022 12:00 AM by Lou Cox

The Navy League held in-person their Washington, DC region Sea-Air-Space Exposition STEM Expo 2022 on April 3. It is the largest maritime exposition in the U.S. that seeks to unite the U.S. defense industry and military decision-makers for educational sessions, policy discussions and exhibitions.

Sponsored by the Office of Naval Research, the USNA STEM Center personnel provided hands-on STEM activities that included Robotics, Electricity and Magnetism, Hydraulics, Cryptography, Flight, and Applied Mathematics. USNA STEM faculty and staff, Joe McGettigan and Lou Cox, along with STEM Midshipmen Bam Bamanabio, Max Kimmel, Courtney Tse, and Alyse Ray delivered the science and engineering principles behind the activities for event participants and families. The STEM Expo drew a sold-out crowd.

Sea-Air-Space is produced by the Navy League, an organization that raises awareness of the sea services in the US, including the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines.
