STEM Educator Training 2022

The USNA STEM Center hosted the Fall STEM Educator Training Workshop on September 24, 2022 with sessions including easy to implement, project-based activities in science, engineering and math topic areas with real-world relevance. The professional development workshop is offered once each semester for K-12 teachers from the local region.
The Fall Workshop covered a range of science and engineering topics including Machine Learning, Spread of Disease, Electrochemistry, Soldering, Siphons, GPS Positioning, the Wonderful World of Water. This session saw 106 participants share ideas, network, and reignite their enthusiasm for learning and teaching.
The educational influence of this program is far reaching and impacts not just the individual educators who participate in the training, but also has a sustainable impact on their schools, colleagues, students, and future students as well.
USNA STEM Educator programs are sponsored by the Office of Naval Research, DoD STEM, and the Naval Academy Foundation with generous support from Northrop Grumman and Dr. Ernst Volgenau.
