Biography

Chip Cravaack, a Representative from Minnesota, grew up in Charleston, Kanawha County, W.Va. He graduated from St. Xavier High School, Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1977, and earned a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy, in 1981. He went on to earn a M.Ed. from the University of West Florida, Pensacola, Fla., in 1989. He was in the United States Navy from 1981-1990 and in the United States Navy Reserve from 1990-2005. He was elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth Congress beginning on January 3, 2011.
