ON SCENE, BUT UNSEEN

Crest

Submarine Officers work to understand and destroy America’s peer adversaries! Their job demands technical prowess, confidence, and competence.

Submarine Junior Officers practice impactful, small unit leadership by leading divisions of 10 to 20 sailors. They assume responsibility for all aspects of submarine operations, including engineering, weapons, and communications. Most importantly, Submarine Officers are trusted to plan and execute secret missions of national significance. They stand watch and work to qualify as engineering officer of the watch, contact manager and officer of the deck -- all steps towards earning the gold dolphins of a Navy submarine officer.

What is the Submarine Force?

Submarine service is a stealthy and secretive business by nature and necessity. Conducting classified work that can’t be discussed outside the world in which one operates. And taking on responsibilities that most can’t fathom. If you want to make it here, you need to have the smarts to do highly technical work.
