Gate Access
As of May 7, 2025, NSA Annapolis and USNA requires REAL ID-compliant credentials for visitors entering through Pedestrian Gate 1 Visitor Control Center, per the REAL ID Act. Visitors under the age of 18, who do not have a valid ID must be escorted by an adult with a valid form of identification. Accepted IDs include: REAL ID Driver’s License/state ID (with star), U.S. Passport, or Enhanced Driver’s License (MI, MN, NY, VT, WA).
In order to drive on to the Naval Academy yard, all parents will be required to have a DBIDS photo ID or possess a valid DoD ID.
