Event Parking and Transportation

  • Due to limited parking availability on the Yard, guests should plan to park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for Castone Day.  Enter the Blue side parking lot through Gate 5 from Taylor Ave. Park adjacent to the bus stop by the Blue Angel.  Parking will cost $10/car.
  • A complimentary shuttle will run from this bus stop continuously from 0700-1600.  From 0700-0845 and during the high-traffic afternoon portion from 1200-1330, dropoff will be at Alumni Hall. If arriving during these high-traffic periods, guests should be prepared to have their bags and IDs checked by Security as they board the shuttle.  For guests arriving outside these windows, the shuttle will drop off first at Gate 1 so that guests may have their IDs and bags checked by Security in the Visitor Access Center before reboarding the shuttle and proceeding to Alumni Hall.

Mask Wear Policy

Based on updated guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Under Secretary of Defense released a memorandum on 1 March 2022 - “Updated Guidance for Mask and Screening Testing for all Department of Defense Installations and Other Facilities".

This document outlines that “when the CDC COVID-19 Community Level is low in the county where a DoD installation or facility is located, indoor mask-wearing is not required for DoD personnel or visitors.”

Based on - https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html - Anne Arundel County’s Community Level is LOW.

Effective immediately, indoor mask wear is NOT required for DoD personnel or visitors at the Naval Academy.

Individuals may still choose to wear masks at their own discretion, and health protection measures for confirmed COVID-19 cases and close contacts remain unchanged.  For this reason, Individuals should continue to carry a mask on their person, as a contingency, should wear be required situationally.
