Trident Scholar Virtual Symposium 2020

Trident Scholar

Virtual Symposium 2020

Welcome message from
Dr. Andrew Phillips,
Academic Dean and Provost

The Trident Scholar Program allows select midshipmen to participate in an intensive, two-semester research experience during their 1/C (senior) year. The Trident Scholars work closely with faculty mentors on projects that culminate in a written report and oral presentation. Typically, the results of their research are presented at the Trident Scholar Symposium held on the Yard and open to the Naval Academy community and guests. This year due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Yard-wide Symposium could not be held, but we provide this virtual Symposium for you to view the excellent work of these Scholars. Some of their research has been impacted by being away from the Yard, but the Tridents have persevered and are delighted to share their work in this venue. We invite you to view each Trident Scholar’s presentation. There is a comment box below each presentation for you to leave comments or questions for the Trident (open until the evening of May 4th).

We are very proud of our Trident Scholars and the amazing work that they have accomplished!
