About Me
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Weapons, Robotics, and Control Engineering at the United States Naval Academy (USNA) and Director of the Vision Integration in Polymanual and Experimental and Robotics (VIPER) Lab. Prior to my appointment at USNA, I was a Researcher and Project Manager in the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL).
I received my Ph.D and M.S.E degrees in mechanical engineering from the Johns Hopkins University as a member of the Robot and Protein Kinematics Laboratory; and I received my B.M.E degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware. My research interests include robotic manipulation, applications of and extensions to additive manufacturing, mechanisms design and characterization, continuum manipulators, redundant mechanisms, and modular systems.
