About me

I am a Professor at the Weapons, Robotics, and Control Engineering Department at the United States Naval Academy (USNA). Prior to my appointment at USNA, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas.

I received my Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez.

From 2005 to 2010, I was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Coordinated Science Laboratory, University of Illinois. I have held Intern positions with IBM, Poughkeepsie, NY, and with The Boeing Company, Seattle, WA. My research interests include cyber-physical systems, bilateral teleoperation, remote control of unmanned vehicles, networked control, multi-agent systems, and control of nonlinear time delay systems.
