  • Research workstations
  • Advanced applications
  • Computing efforts of individual researchers.
  • Advanced computing for coursework and special student projects

The computing facilities consist of high performance computing equipment, including clusters and servers with multiple multi-core processors and relatively large amounts of memory and disk storage. Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems are supported.

Various specialized mathematics, science and engineering application software packages are supported. They include support for such processing requirements as:

  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Multiphysics

The ARCS Group is staffed by General Services Information Technology (IT) Specialists. Their offices and support facilities are located in Michelson Hall, room 304.
