David Wallace is serving as the Distinguished Military Professor of Law & Leadership at the USNA. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Brigadier General. His assignments in the Army included service as Professor and Head, Department of Law, United States Military Academy, West Point, New York. In addition to his service at West Point, he has also served at a Deputy Staff Judge Advocate; Assistant/Associate Professor at the Judge Advocate General’s School of the Army; Trial Attorney, Contract Appeals Division, United States Army Legal Service Agency; Trial Counsel and Legal Assistance Attorney, 3rd Infantry Division; and Public/Civil Affairs Officer, 81st Infantry Brigade). Wallace deployed to Afghanistan in 2004 and 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2017, Brigadier General (ret.)Wallace served as a Visiting Scholar at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCD COE) in Tallinn, Estonia. He has been designated as Professor Emeritus.
