    We will discuss semidefinite programming (SDPs), a (relatively) recent addition to the family of convex optimization models. We'll take a look at the max-cut problem applied to shipping hazardous cargo in multiple containers, a multi-ship resupply problem, network connectivity maximization, and, time-permitting, the first-order algorithm performance estimation problem, and use them to outline what SDPs are, what they're good for, and how you can solve them easily using cvxpy.
