Thank you to everyone who help make NASEC 2021 a success! We look forward to welcoming delegates back to the Naval Academy for our 11th Naval Academy Science and Engineering Conference in November, 2022.

10th Naval Academy Science and Engineering Conference

 November 7-9, 2021.

All attendees at NASEC must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and each person must carry proof of vaccination.

The U.S. Naval Academy, a leading institution of higher education with strong programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), hosts an annual conference to bring policy makers and science advisors together with university faculty and students to discuss significant science and engineering challenges.

The conference provides a forum to bring together the nation's future Navy and Marine Corps officers with their peers from other colleges and universities, both civilian and military, from across the country. Participants engage in discussion and research on some of the key scientific and technical challenges facing the nation and the world.

For NASEC 2021 the conference theme is Data Science. While we recognize the ongoing challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Naval Academy team has decided to host an in-person event following strict protocols for everyone's safety and peace of mind. There will be no Google Meet or Zoom Link provided for virtual access.

Conference attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear from distinguished speakers about their perspectives on the main themes of the conference. In addition, a Poster Session offers student participants who are active in research at their home institutions the opportunity to present and discuss their work.

Attendance at NASEC is limited. Undergraduate students who wish to attend must be nominated by the Dean or President of their college or university. Interested students should ask their college leadership to reach out to us regarding the nomination process, which typically occurs in September.

If you have any questions, please contact Prof. Cody Brownell at nasec@usna.edu.

The Naval Academy Science and Engineering Conference is made possible by the generosity of Huntington Ingalls Industries.
