Biography
Todd Young, a Representative from Indiana, was originally from Lancaster, Lancaster County, Pa. He attended the Naval Academy Preparatory School from 1990-1991, and he earned a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy in 1995. He also earned a M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Chicago, Ill. in 2000, and a M.A., University of London, London, England in 2001, as well as a J.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind. in 2006. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1995-2000. He was aide to United States Senator Richard Lugar from 2001-2003 and deputy prosecutor, Orange County (Ind.) from 2007-2010. He has been a consultant and a lawyer in a private practice. He was elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth Congress January 3, 2011. He served three terms in the House of Representatives before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016. He was re-elected in 2022 to a second term.
