RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Net-work) is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800-656-HOPE and online.rainn.org) in partnership with more than 1,100 local rape crisis centers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

Department of Defense (DoD) Safe Helpline is a ground-breaking crisis support service for members of the DoD community affected by sexual assault. Safe Helpline provides live, one-on-one support and information to the worldwide DoD community. The service is confidential, anonymous, secure, and available worldwide, 24/7 by click, call or text — providing victims with the help they need anytime, anywhere.

The Navy Victims’ Legal Counsel Program provides military sexual assault survivors with a dedicated attorney to help victims understand the investigation and military justice process, guard their legal rights and interests and obtain additional support in accessing resources that may assist in their recovery. This attorney is provided to Navy service members and other eligible victims of sexual assault at Navy expense.
Victims’ Legal Counsel complement the care and support victims already receive through Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs) and Victim Advocates (VAs) by providing legal counsel and advice on sexual assault reporting options as well as legal support during the investigation and disciplinary processing of those reports.

SAPRO is the organization responsible for the oversight of Department of Defense (DoD) sexual assault policy. The Department of Defense is committed to the prevention of sexual assault. This website provides guidance, speeches & briefings and other information for victims of sexual assault, the individuals they turn to, unit commanders, first responders and others dealing with this sensitive issue.
