Bethesda Shuttle Information
Morning Bethesda Shuttle**
The morning shuttle departs from the Sixth Wing Medical of Bancroft Hall at 0630 daily. The return shuttle departs Bethesda at 1130 and arrives at USNA at approximately 1230 daily. The Bethesda Shuttle runs year-round, except on holidays, weekends, during spring break, Commissioning Week, Christmas break and when there are no Midshipmen appointments scheduled by the Sixth Wing Medical.
Afternoon Bethesda Shuttle*
The afternoon shuttle departs from the Sixth Wing Medical of Bancroft Hall at 1145 daily and departs Bethesda after the last appointment of any passenger on the bus or 1600, whichever is sooner. The afternoon shuttle only runs during the academic school year, from Brigade Reform in August until Commissioning Week. This shuttle does not operate during the summer months (June, July, and August 15th), and holidays, weekends, during spring break, Commissioning Week, Christmas break and when there are no Midshipmen appointments scheduled by the Sixth Wing Medical.
* If you plan to ride the shuttle bus home from Bethesda and did not ride up with a USNA driver to the hospital, you must go to the front desk in the lobby of the American Building, ask for the US Naval Academy sign in sheet and contact the driver for the day listed on the sheet. If you are unable to get in contact with the driver you may contact the Transportation Department at 410-293-5751 or Sixth Wing Medical Personnel in advance to ensure there is available seating. The Transportation Department will not be responsible for your return trip to USNA if not contacted in advance.
**The Bethesda Shuttle is primarily for Midshipmen transport. However, retired military and authorized dependents may ride on a space available basis.
