LT Peter Fricano is serving as an Assistant Professor of Military Law at the United States Naval Academy. He completed the first tour rotation program at RLSO MW and was an installation SJA at RLSO SW for his second tour. LT Fricano has participated in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2022 and Keen Edge 2024 Exercises. LT Fricano was awarded RLSO MW Junior Officer of the Quarter for Q4 of FY 2021 and RLSO SW Junior Officer of the Quarter for Q1 of FY 2024.

LT Fricano grew up in Dubuque, Iowa. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Loras College in 2017 and obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2020. During law school, LT Fricano was a member of the Notre Dame Journal of International and Comparative Law, the Military and Veterans Law Society, and an Assistant Rector at O'Neill Family Hall. LT Fricano interned for the RLSO Midwest Trial Department in 2018.

LT Fricano commissioned through the Student Program in August 2019. He is a member of the Iowa State
Bar as of September 2020. LT Fricano attended Officer Development School in August 2020,
and graduated from Naval Justice School in December 2020.
